Areas of Funding

NACC supports three main areas for grant funding. Please review the below categories below to ensure your organization falls within our funding areas.

  • Children’s Health & Wellness: Projects and causes whose mission is primarily focused on improving the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of youth, 0-18, through education, arts, athletics, or out of/after school programming
  • Focus on Building Community: Projects that display commitment to reaching out to the surrounding community and building bridges between the schools, local residents, local businesses and local organizations.
  • Keep Akron Beautiful: Projects that seek to improve the city through tackling issues such as litter, pollution, bio diversity, and aesthetics.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Organizations committed to breaking down systemic barriers, increasing access to equitable opportunities, advancing racial equality and promoting justice

Every year, the NACC Teaching Grant is evaluated to ensure the program is making the largest impacts in our core focus areas, and sometimes this means organizations that previously qualified are no longer eligible. While we wish we could support all organizations that apply, the grant program will continue to remain focused on our core focus areas.

  • Applications are accepted into the program between July 1st and August 15th each year.
  • Community grants range from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $2,000.
